Policy Brief: Fatal and Non-Fatal Abusive Head Trauma Prevention in Virginia


Goldschmidt’s program of research focuses on public health surveillance of child abuse, and the development of prevention policy.  Her teaching experience includes community health, clinical prevention and population health, health policy, evidence-based nursing research, managing information technology and community health clinical faculty.  She served as an expert on Pediatric Abusive Head Trauma and testified at the full committee hearing of the Joint Commission on Health Care regarding the Virginia incidence of Abusive Head Trauma and cost of the economic burden (2011).
